I am an experienced data scientist and geologist with a passion for software development and an MSc (distinction) in Spatio-Temporal Analytics and Big Data Mining from University College London. I previously worked as a data scientist for the Mining and Metals industry, however it was not my true passion. I am now pursuing a career in full-stack development, which I find to be far more creatively fulfilling. I am looking for a company with which I can make this transition, so if you think I’d be a great fit for your team, please do get in touch!
I discovered my love of coding when teaching myself to code macros for Datamine geological software whilst working as a Mine Geologist in Zambia. My passion grew when I attended UCL, and was exposed to real languages such as Java, Python, and R. My proudest creation of my MSc was an Android app: a location-based quiz comprising mobile, web, and database components. I love to learn and have since continued to develop my coding skills in Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and most recently React.js.
Outside of programming, I enjoy paper craft, creating 3D art in Blender, reading science fiction, cooking, exploring nature, and looking after my wonderful kittens.
